NCLEX-PN: common questions
What is the difference between the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN?
The NCLEX-RN licenses registered nurses; the NCLEX-PN licenses practical/vocational nurses. Both follow NCSBN Client Needs categories, but the PN exam weights Coordinated Care (18β24%) where the RN exam weights Management of Care (15β21%), and PN questions sit at practical-nurse scope.
Can nurses from India take the NCLEX-PN?
Yes, if a US state board makes you eligible for practical/vocational nurse licensure. Most B.Sc and GNM nurses aim for the NCLEX-RN instead.
